Griffin Hughes Douglas lives on MV full time and has been working in the wellness industry since 2004. Griffin is a certified personal trainer, TRX, Revolve and POUND instructor. She is also a certified massage therapist and health coach. Griffin uses her experience of working along side physical therapists and chiropractors to create programs for people who have been through injuries and surgeries, in addition to top-level athletes and couch potatoes.
Lea Rosbeck lives on the island with her husband Ted and 3 children Alana, Teddy and Willow. She is certified in mat and reformer through Balanced Body and is currently working towards her comprehensive certification. She is also pursuing her Barre certification through Balanced Body. She is a licensed and registered occupational therapist and a certified Biomat distributor for Richway/Fuji International. Lea has been a student of pilates for 6 years and through her practice continues to learn and grow each day. Through pilates, she builds a foundation of confidence, strength and peace that supports her daily life.
Caitlin Cook began training in Pilates at age 18 with Steve Giordano at the SUNY Purchase College Dance Department.In 1994 she was certified by Madeline Black in San Francisco, CA through the Institute for the Pilates Method, Santa Fe, New Mexico.Since then she has worked in many studios and gyms from San Francisco to New York City to Martha’s Vineyard.
Caitlin is deeply influenced by her studies of Klein Technique, Zero Balancing, Alexander, Feldenkrist and her life long endeavor studying and performing various dance styles.Caitlin believes that Pilates is at once a detailed and succinct way to engage ones mind/body work.
Kim Januszewski has been a Barre instructor for fifteen years. She received her personal training certificate in 2003, and began teaching Barre classes in her hometown of Greenwich Connecticut. Kim is also certified in indoor cycling. She has been teaching our “Revolve” classes at Evolve since we began our program. Originally from just outside of Boston, Kim now lives in Greenwich Connecticut and Edgartown Massachusetts with her husband David, three children Jack, Charlie and Whitney and her dog Dustin.
After being obsessed with spinning for nearly a decade, Julia Spiro got certified to teach this year after moving to the Vineyard from Los Angeles. She loves pop, electro-pop, and dance music in her high energy classes.
Linley Dolby was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. After receiving a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, Linley spent 12 years editing computer programming manuals before discovering and falling in love with Pilates. She received mat certification through Power Pilates, and is currently working toward comprehensive certification through Balanced Body University. Linley is drawn to working with beginners, helping clients strive for their personal “aha” moments, and spreading the love of Pilates near and far.
Joanne Cassidy has been a certified spinning instructor for over 4 years. And while her full time job may be performing on stage and teaching the Vineyard’s young adults vocal/music lessons, she brings to her Revolve classes a love of awesome music and a contagious motivation to help each spinner, at any level, feel their best when they ride with her!
Danielle Cox is a comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body Pilates. She also holds a certification in Stott Total Barre, and currently pursuing her Core-Align Certification through Balanced Body. She has been a student of Pilates for many years, and quickly became interested in teaching after it changed not only her fitness level, but the way she approached fitness through mindful movement. Danielle is excited to share her love of Pilates with her clients!
Kimberly Murry is a professional modern dancer residing in Queens, NY. After graduating from Ohio University and relocating to Chicago, IL for dance, she settled in NYC three years ago where she decided to obtain her pilates certification from Ellie Herman Pilates Institute in 2018. Since then, she has been interested in exploring the rehabilitation aspects and components that Pilates can offer. Kimberly found the love of Pilates through her injuries. Her practice involves engaging target muscles groups through full bodied movement. She loves planks and will try to sneak them in any chance she gets. She also lives by one mantra: “When in doubt, work it out!”
